We offer a variety of different groups for children who are diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder or ADHD.
LEGO – Minecraft and Transport

Group Descriptions
School Readiness
A group environment designed to help your kindergarten child to be the most school-ready for 2025 that they can be whilst having fun with their peers. Skills include play, skills, sharing play ideas, following other’s plans, being flexible, pencil grip, pre-writing, writing their name, scissor skills, early literacy skills, and the Milo the Monkey literacy program.
Lego Group – Minecraft and Transport Theme
Play with Lego whilst learning social skills in a group. Skills include working as a team, sharing ideas, following others’ plans, being flexible, asking questions, and commenting in conversation. The initial theme will be transport and Minecraft, though we can adjust this to suit the participants’ interests as we evolve. The group will be facilitated by 2 speech pathologists.
Cooking Group
The group is designed to grab your child’s interest in cooking, whilst working with them on peer interactions, following instructions, cultivating friendships, advocating for themselves and of course safety in the kitchen! The group will be facilitated by 2 psychologists.
Younger Girls Group
The younger girl’s group is designed to be a safe and encouraging place for girls on the spectrum to learn the skills to increase their ability to socialise and maintain friendships, use social language, and reduce their anxiety around socialisation with others. This is done through video modelling, play and arts and crafts activities. Each fortnight, a topic is covered that incorporates the principles of neurodiversity and increasing self-esteem/awareness. The group involves arts, crafts, and games. Group A is facilitated by a Speech Pathologist and group B is facilitated by a Speech Pathologist and Psychologist
Lego Group – Animals

Arts and Crafts Group
Children in the arts and crafts group will enjoy making many different creations with an array of materials. Arts and crafts are a relaxing and fun way of helping children learn to express themselves through visual modalities. Children will practice their communication skills, sharing information, turn-taking, and teamwork skills in a supportive environment.
Older Girls Group
The older girl’s group is designed to be a safe and encouraging place for neurodivergent girls to learn about neurodiversity, themselves, the skills to friendships, the use of different social languages and to reduce their anxiety around socialisation with others. This is done through video modelling, play and arts and crafts activities. Each fortnight a topic is covered that incorporates the principles of neurodiversity and self-esteem/awareness. The group is facilitated by a Speech Pathologist and Psychologist.
Middle Boys’ Group
Previously named Superflex level 2
The middle boy’s group is designed to be a safe and encouraging place for neurodivergent boys to learn about neurodiversity, themselves, the skills for friendships, the use of different social languages, managing energy levels, and reducing their anxiety/reluctance around socialisation with others. This is done through video modelling, play and arts and crafts activities. Each fortnight a topic is covered that incorporates the principles of neurodiversity and self-esteem/awareness. The group is facilitated by a Speech Pathologist and Psychologist.
Science and Minecraft Group
A small group is designed to use your child’s curiosity in science and Minecraft to learn about theories, brains, how brains are different, accepting our own and others’ differences, to increase their ability to socialise and maintain friendships, use social language, and reduce their anxiety around socialisation with others. This is delivered using the principles of neuro-affirming practice. The group is facilitated by a Speech Pathologist.
High School Transition Group
The High School Transition Group will be a recurring fortnightly group providing opportunities for neurodivergent young people (autistic, ADHD, intellectual disability etc.) who are preparing to transition or have just transitioned to high school. The group is best suited for tweens and teens in Grade 6 or Year 7. Group activities will centre around social identity, navigating teenage social difficulties, high school expectations, independence skills, as well as strategies for navigating the teen years. The group will be facilitated by 2 Speech Pathologists.
Inbetweeners Group
The group is a safe and supportive peer space for neurodivergent male adolescents. The group aims to teach adolescents a variety of important skills in a neuro-affirming approach, including conversation, accepting our views and the views of others, regulation, compromise, assertion with peers, language in play/sport, and ways to form and maintain friendships. The group is facilitated by a Speech Pathologist and Psychologist.
