The initial theme will be transport and Minecraft, though we can adjust this to suit the participants’ interests as we evolve. The group will be facilitated by 2 speech pathologists.

The group is designed to grab your child’s interest in cooking, whilst working with them on peer interactions, following instructions, cultivating friendships, advocating for themselves and of course safety in the kitchen! The group will be facilitated by 2 psychologists.

Younger Girls Group

The younger girl’s group is designed to be a safe and encouraging place for girls on the spectrum to learn the skills to increase their ability to socialise and maintain friendships, use social language, and reduce their anxiety around socialisation with others. This is done through video modelling, play and arts and crafts activities. Each fortnight, a topic is covered that incorporates the principles of neurodiversity and increasing self-esteem/awareness. The group involves arts, crafts, and games. Group A is facilitated by a Speech Pathologist and group B is facilitated by a Speech Pathologist and Psychologist

Arts and Crafts Group

Children in the arts and crafts group will enjoy making many different creations with an array of materials. Arts and crafts are a relaxing and fun way of helping children learn to express themselves through visual modalities. Children will practice their communication skills, sharing information, turn-taking, and teamwork skills in a supportive environment.

Older Girls Group

High School Transition Group
